Our Gerard McCabe jewellery is manufactured to the highest standards.  In the unlikely event that you have a problem with your jewellery, you can be reassured that we are with you for life.

All Gerard McCabe jewellery comes with our lifetime warranty which covers the jewellery against manufacturing defects. This does not cover normal wear and tear associated with day-to-day use, or accidental damage made to your jewellery. When you buy a Gerard McCabe piece, a very special journey begins. For fine jewellery to last a lifetime it will require servicing and maintenance. This is why when you make a purchase, we make a service commitment to be with you for life.

Lifetime Cleaning

To maintain your Gerard McCabe jewellery; we offer to professionally inspect and clean your pieces using an ultrasonic system and hand polish. This in-store service is complimentary and also includes an advised annual inspection of the stones and their settings. We are also happy to inspect non-Gerard McCabe items for cleaning and repairs. On the 6 and 12-month anniversaries of each jewellery purchase, we will send a reminder to you by email or SMS to visit a store for a complimentary clean and check. This is a great time to ask any questions you may have about wearing and storing your jewellery.

Professional Polishing

On request, our team will be happy to advise when to polish or rhodium plate a Gerard McCabe Piece. This service helps smooth out superficial scratches of the precious metals that occur through daily wear. Your jewellery will be returned to you looking noticeably refreshed. A quotation can be provided before any work is commenced.

Set to Last

To maintain the integrity of the diamond settings of Gerard McCabe Jewellery, we advise each piece is inspected annually on a complimentary basis. This service checks for any signs of damage to the settings that may have been sustained through wear. Any suggested remedial work will help to ensure the continued beauty and longevity of this piece. A quotation can be provided before any work is commenced. All Gerard McCabe products come with a lifetime guarantee against any manufacturing defects, excluding wear. 

Antique and Vintage Jewellery

Taking good care of your vintage and antique jewellery from Gerard McCabe will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. All pieces have had some wear over their lifetime and as such the warranty period is 6 months covering any unforeseen issues that may arise (excluding heavy wear, damage or misuse). We encourage you to have your jewellery checked and cleaned by us every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones in antique items to come loose over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than replace a lost one.

Engraving & Personalisation

Engraving a name, date or personal message on your wedding band represents the perfect individual touch and we are happy to undertake the initial engraving at no extra cost. Your message can be discussed with your consultant at the time of order and may be limited by the space available on the ring. 

The Perfect Fit

A ring that slips comfortably onto a finger, whilst remaining safe and secure, is as important to Gerard McCabe as it is for you. Therefore, we are delighted to resize any ring wherever possible, this may incur a cost. A first-purchase Gerard McCabe ring can be resized or custom-made if necessary on a complimentary basis if the request is made within three months of purchase.

Documentation

All Gerard McCabe items receive a digital jewellery certificate and receipt at the time of purchase. We highly recommend insuring your items against loss, theft or damage. In time, your insurer may require updated replacement values for your unique Gerard McCabe pieces, which we provide for a fee.  

Tips for longer lasting jewellery

We advise that you always securely store your jewellery in the original packaging or a soft pouch. Please keep pieces stored separately to avoid damage. When dressing, jewellery should always be put on last and taken off first. Avoid wearing rings during high hands-on activities such as gardening, gym or moving heavy objects.
